I wanted to do them (DIY), but now I'm beginning to think it's not worth it..... I still have a few other DIY projects, place cards, photo collages etc - and I tend to work odd hours and weekends so I don't think I'll have the time to do everything with less then 6 weeks left!
Just curious, anyone else not doing programs? Is it really something people expect at a wedding? We are getting married at RH, so I don't think anybody will even notice honestly......the only thing it would be nice for is recognizing the BP and parents.

We didnt do them-we felt it was a waste of time and we got married at the church. no one even noticed

we didn't think they were needed. but the day of, one of our readers and her husband insisted on making them for us, so we let them....
but they really aren't needed at all........

I created one on the computer, just a simple one, but didn't get around to printing them. So unless someone prints and folds them in a few hours, we're not having them!

No programs for us either. It's a nice touch but who has the time to do it??? Not me, that's for sure. I don't think anyone will even notice.

I don't think anyone will notice. I spent hours making them for a friends wedding and she had almost half of them left at the end of the day. I don't think I'll be making them for myself.

I still want to make them for my wedding. FH thinks its ridiculous, and I realize that a lot of people will just leave them there. But I think that the bridal party and our parents will appreciate us formally thanking them in print.

I don't think they are *necessary* but then again, so many things that we do for the wedding aren't necessary, just an added personal touch that some will appreciate (I know not everyone will).
I am doing them. We are getting married in a Catholic church and not everyone who is invited is Catholic so I want them to have an idea of how the nuptial mass will go, and we are also having a bilingual ceremony so I wanted to have some information in both languages so the guests are not lost.

I wasn't going to, but my Mom thinks they are a really cute touch (I do too) & she offered to type them up for me & all I have to do is print them. I went to AC Moore & got a package of 50 sheets of programs for like $10.
They definately aren't necessary.
