I find it amazing how much a wedding can cost.. My fiance and I are paying for the whole wedding ourselves.. my mom is paying for the dj ( which is very helpful) and who knows what his parents are giving us.. is anyone else paying for their own wedding?

Weddings are so expensive... It's riduculous.

we are paying for hall and hm, video guy, and whatever is left

my mom and dad gave us some money for things and the dj,pianist, and whatever they can help us with

his parents: reherarsal dinner, flowers and limos

my aunt and uncle : photos

we are very lucky, but it is still very hard.

his parents and my parents each gave us $5000... my very sweet grandma gave us about $3500, his parents paid for the rd, and my mom paid for a lot of the shower..... our total wedding was about $17,000.... so we didn't have to put too much in

My mom is paying for my dress, invitations and rehearsal dinner. I thought we were going to have to pay for everything else but my dad just called and asked what I would like him to pay for ( have to pick one, not all)! I'm so relieved, I was starting to worry how we were going to be able to afford it all.

His family isn't paying for anything.

my family has no money unfortunately. my mom has been saving for months now, and she will pay for my dress and veil as well as the limos. all of which comes to less than $1500

FILs are paying for the majority of the band and our flowers.

we are paying for the hall, HM, video, photog, invitations, rings and everything else. and we're trying to save for a house so we're budgeting everything and not getting anything extra

My parents are paying for the Hall (a certain amount..hopefully it covers it all) and FIL's gave us a generous donation.. we will have to cover whatever is left over.. which will still be a lot i'm sure.. now that I'm seeing what photo/video costs!

I am very lucky and fortunate that my parents are paying for everything and FH's parents covering some portions as well.

We are paying for the entire wedding ourselves...I find it funny how someone will say they're paying for it themselves and then the next sentence says their parents are paying for a particular part...ummm...then you're not paying for the entire wedding yourselves...

I've been extremely lucky because my fiance's parents & aunt are giving us $20,000.

The rest we have to pay for.

My mother and aunt are paying for my dress and the rehearsal dinner.

My FMIL/FFIL are giving us Marriott reward points (2 weeks worth) to use in Hawaii.

Me and my darling FH...

I am sure that his parents and my mommy will contribute, but we are not trying to take any money... Its our wedding... and I don't see why they should be paying for it. I am sure they will just give us amazing gifts...

We are paying for everything. My parents are going to make the final payment on the reception hall which is going to be about $8k but that's it. My FH is very meticulous about planning things out. He has a chart set up for us to make sure that we deposit enough money in our savings account to make sure we are completely covered the month before the wedding when we have to make all of the final payments on the limos, dj, photographer/videographer, etc.
