I met w. Sugar. Heidi is GREAT. But my venue needs a lot of flowers- and she was really adamant about using only julep cups for the centerpieces. Which is lovely - but I didn't think 'enough'. Plus - she was $1000 more than Fleurs (who is very $$$) when Fleurs is doing a combination of high/low

We are using Flower Michelle - mainly because John had the best personality of all of the florists I met with. He really took alot of time with us to try to figure out what we wanted - none of the 'okay this is how much it is going to cost but I'm not telling you what you are getting for it' lines.

Absolutely, without a doubt, Flowers by Brian gets my vote. They were so awesome, and so were the flowers .. which were incredibly fresh .. they lasted so long after the wedding .. I think some people (who won the centerpieces) said 2 weeks.

They were the only florist we met with, and we have not one single regret that we didn't comparison shop. We dealt with Bobbi and Lisa .. together they really made our desires work beautifully!

We shopped around for a florist, and found Sugar Magnolias in-line with the others. Heidi has been such a pleasure to work with, and has a wonderful vision. I strongly suggest Sugar Magnolias.

Thank you for all your suggestions ladies!! I'm meeting with Florissima tonight and Flowers by Brian next week. I'm also going to Mormile in RVC...Has anyone had any experience dealing with this florist??? I'll keeps you ladies posted!

Another vote for Flowers by Brian. Not inexpensive, but EXCELLENT,creative work.

i used Flowers By Brian for my 9/6/02 wedding. They were unbelieveable. I would absolutely recomemmend them to any bride. amazing flowers, wonderful people to work with...thorough, attentive, all around great florist...totally happy with them...you will be too!!!

I used Towers Flowers in N Babylon...I grew up with his wife...and was a wedding guest...they were fabulous...it was one thing that i didn't stress about...and on the day...the flowers were better than I could imagine...He has some really talented people...He just got started in the wedding flowers a few years ago, but I guess it caught on b/c they just expanded...and bought a shop in Nesconset...

there are some really talented people working there...I know Pete did my bouquet, but I think Erika did my centerpieces...

I am surprised you said you are not happy with Pedestals. I have not decided to go with them yet. But a friend and I are both getting married next year and met with Danny at Pedestals and loved everything about them. He was great, knew what he was talking about and offered many different ideas. I dont know about whether I am going with them, only because where I am getting married has an in-house florist, but I can tell you my friend is most likely going with Pedestals. Just a little feedback on my experience with them. Good luck!

I used Pedestals for my June wedding. We worked with Danny. Our bouquets were gorgeous, full and very fresh as we were promised. We had high centerpieces, so they were expensive (to me), but beautiful. We didn't shop around so I'm not sure if we could have got a better deal elsewhere.

I have to vote for James Cress. Mr Cress was a PLEASURE to work with.
I had a beautiful arm bouquet of white callas, roses that were the same color as my BM, and stephanotis with pearls and othere greenery. Each stem was wrapped in white satin ribbon. It was more than I expected. They are not cheap, but well worth every penny.

I am using Burtons...when I go to pick my flowers later this month I will be sure to post more pics. If I go in to pick flowers will they make me a sample right then and there? Maybe not the exact flowers but something very similiar?
