Who is walking you down the aisle?

My dad is walking me.. Would like to have both parents but dad is really traditional and wants it just to be us two.

my dad...i brought it up to my parents for both of them to walk me down the aisle but my mom was actually the one who said no bc she doesn't want to take away from his moment although i still have a first dance with him so he gets his own moment there but she is the one who said no.

Cool..mine are 9 & 14, plus my 'MOH' is my 12 year old daughter. How old are yours?

awww I have a nine yr old one too!!! The older one is 12 yrs old.

Though I am close with both my parents...
My Daddy is walking me down alone....
Ive always invisioned just my father walking me and thats the way I want it to be....
I think its just recently that the mother and father walk the bride down....Am I right or just clueless LOL!

Its always been Jewish tradition -- not sure what the traditions are in other faiths.

That's a touchy subject for me. My dad passed away when I was 11, so I assumed I would have my mom do it. But when I brought it up she started to cry and said she didn't think she was stong enough to do it

I'm sorry to hear about your loss...my uncle passed away when my cousins were teenagers, and they asked an uncle to walk them down the aisle.

I am in a similar situation...my dad passed away when I was 12 and I, too, assumed that my mom would do it. The other day my mom asked me this same question as if she didn't think that I wanted her to. I told her that I didn't ask her because I just assumed that she would know that I wanted her to do this for me!
