Who is walking you down the aisle

Well my parents are divorced and cant stand each other.... The why my place is set up I am having my mom walk me down the stairs to my dad and my dad walk me to my FH...What Do u guys think? Trying to have eveyone involved without insulating anyone... What are u guys doing????

I DONT THINK YOU WOULD INSULT ANYONE...IF SOMEONE WOULD NOT BE INVOLVED THAN THAT WOULD GET PEOPLE UPSET.

BUT MY PARENTS ARE DIVORCED AND MY STEP DAD WALKING ME DOWN THE ISLE..BECAUSE MY REAL DAD IS IN RUSSIA AND UNLESS HE COMES...I HAVE MY STEP DAD HERE!

My dad is walking me. I think it is nice how you are doing it.

I think this is a great idea to your problem!! This way you can have a moment with both of them and they don't really need to be near each other! I have a similar dilemma. My Parent's are divorced. My mom is remarried, my dad is pretty much not over my mom. But my father and I are extremely estranged. We barely speak and when we do it always leads to a problem. He has let me down countless times and I really don't feel it would be right for him to walk me down the aisle. So I am fairly certain I am going to have my Mom walk me down the aisle. My mom is my best friend, my hero. She has been my mother, my father, my friend, my inspiration. So I feel she has earned it. More over, I feel he has not. Anyways, I think what you are doing is great, especially if you are still very close with both parents!! Sorry that was a big long winded.

thanks girls... They are both my best friends and they are both remarried... I love them both so much and I dont want one or the other to feel left out...

I am having my mom walk me down the aisle. I have planned that before I was even engaged. My parents have been divorced for over 15 yrs and my mom has always been there for me. I think my dad is going to get a bit annoyed by not walking me down, but my mom has earned it too!

I want both parents but my mom doesnt seem to want to be part of the spotlight.

if my dad is still alive he will as long as he can still walk. otherwise my mom and my uncle will

I think that is a great solution to involve everyone. I am having both of my parents walk me down. My mom doesn't know this yet but I am going to ask her at my engagement party.
