My parents are divorced and my mother was more of an impact in my life but my dad is paying for part of the wedding, so I am having them both walk me down.

Am I the only one with tears in my eyes reading this??? Very bittersweet in some instances?
My mother--- a blessing to me- and possily my grandfather... It would give him such pleasure.

I was originallly thinking about just my father, that is traditional but, I have recently really been thinking of having both my parents. That way if my Dad gets nervous he won't drag me down the aisle!!Plus my Mom is such a great lady I'd really like to have both of them give me away.

Originally I wanted both my mom and dad to walk me down. . but I looked at the aisle and I don't think we are going to fit!!!! SO my mom is going to have my brother walk her down to end of the aisle before the wedding party and she'll wait for us up there and then they can 'give me away' together.

My parents are divorced and I do not have a great relationship with my father so I am having my brother walk me down. He's six years older than me and has always acted as a father to me.

Both my parents have passed away so, my eldest brother will walk me down the aisle. (But, my parents will be there in spirit! )

my dad. my mom is doing the planning and this is his big role. he is looking forward to it and already started to diet so he 'can look good'.

My father had a stroke in September, he's doing much better but unfortunately I don't think he'll be able to walk by May. I'd like my mother and brother to do it. I've hinted about it but haven't asked them yet because I don't want to seem too negative.
