my question is what bridal store orders dresses that are that small on a bride??? dont they normally go bigger???

LOL...sometimes brides order there's smaller hoping they will get to that size before the wedding...I know plenty of girls that did that....

It's a good show...keeps me motivated :)

I have had the worst time with my dress. I got to put it on for the first time last Saturday and was so upset, it was huge. It bothered me so much that I went back in Friday after work to speak to the gown consultant. She brought out my measurement sheet and told me I had a 38' waist when she ordered the gown I am a bigger girl but my waist is a 34 and I'm down 2 pounds since I was measured. My goal is 10 pounds from where I am right now.

The biggest thing that PI$$ED me off is that I have to pay for my alterations and this gown will now require a whole lot to get it right. She rec. 3 - 4 fittings I was so disgusted I am starting over and going to try on gowns tomorrow at a different salon.

OMG that's horrible! I can't believe they wrote down the measurements that way! And you don't have much time either to order another dress... that's why I'm stressed because I still haven't tried mine on, i'm afraid it's going to fall off of me, and it will be too late to get a new size!

Thankfully I found a shop w/ a Maggie sample they just got in last week in a size 16 which should fit me. Since its so new they offered to sell me the sample.

I would suggest you get in to try your dress on if its arrived. You won't need an actual fitting until about 6 weeks before. Much luck

Aww well that's good that you found that sample, I hope everythign works out for you!

I'm going to start fittings in May, they're letting me start a little early since I really won't be around much in the summer... FH and I are moving to wherever he is placed for his residency, I'll just have to fly in whenever I have something wedding related to do, and then be here for the week before the wedding. I know that my dress is in, but they told me that I can try it on when my fittings start because right now it is off sight in storage, which kinda worries me too... thanks for the luck though, i'm sure i'm just paranoid, I am about everything lately!
