Who is your DJ?

I have NO idea how to get a DJ.

I used Tommy's Tunes because I saw them perform at a bridal showcase.

I found Bravura at a showcase about 2 years ago when my cousin got engaged (I hadnt even met FH yet). I knew it was the style that i wanted and saw them at another showcase a few months ago and still felt the same way

We're also using Bravura. You might want to go to some showcases and see what kind of style you like. Also you can talk with DJs who are not performing at the showcases and ask how they are. I feel that with pretty much everything else, it just has to feel right.
Do some research, make some appointments and see how it goes. Read reviews from past brides.

We used Let Us Entertain You. Bill & Frank are wonderul people and play anything and work with any budget.

i read reviews on LIW and went to meet w/ several companies.


I also booked FM entertainment. There where a few brides that said Frank was great. I went and met with him. He did a mini show to show me how he will sound the day of the wedding. He was great I booked him on the spot.


We used Frank at FM also-he did an Excellent job.
I just posted on the Vendors board and rec'd some quotes and then went from there.

We are using VJ entertainment. He does a great job always! Love Vinny and Bill!

I was just in your shoes though. DJ shopping, like every vendor shopping, is a complete education. Every DJ seems to have different opinions of what works best for a wedding. You have to figure out what works best with your personalities and go with that. It's really overwhelming and confusing. If you find a DJ that you click with, book him. That's my opinion anyway.

Also be aware that DJ's like to book their packages. My goal was to make sure that my wedding did not resemble my sweet 16 in any way. I would say that at each interview but some places, particularly larger companies, don't hear that. They just want to sell you give aways and plasma TVs and 18 year old hoochie mamas to dance around and 'motivate'. Stick to what you want, don't be suckered and let them work for you. Good luck!

Ultimate Sounds DJ's was our DJ. They gave us an awesome price and had the dance floor jumping the entire night. I got so many compliments on the music. Definetely check them out!

We picked Sound Choice.....we saw them at an expo and the decision was pretty easy after that.
