Who is your DJ/band and how much are you paying?

Hi Everyone - I usually hate asking price questions, but I am in a huge rush and way behind. I am getting married in less than 6 mths and I don't have anything booked except my hall!! I would prefer a band, but for cost reasons, I will probably book a DJ - possibly with some side instruments (percussion, sax) to compliment the music if it sounds good (I've never heard this, so not sure). I am really concerned about getting a cheezy DJ - let me know which ones to avoid or which ones are really good and lack the cheese - if you could give me a ballpark on price too, that would be great. Also, if you have any recommendations on a really good, yet affordable band and around how much they cost, it would help A LOT!!!! I recommend, Heart and Soul and Daybreaks night for bands- franklin wayne bands
-talented, 9 pieces, middle of the road as far as prices go, not too much $$$ but not the least either, high energy, get people moving on the dance floor , willing to learn new music

I recommend, Long Island Sound for a Dj- they have lots of add ons and are high energy

We had a DJ plus added in a pianist/singer! The extra touch of live music was incredible....my guests wanted to know who the guy was that sounded like 'sinatra' and 'billy joel'


We paid 2,000 for 5 hours of DJ/ MC/ and 1 full hour during dinner of the piano singer but it was such a classy affair- it was the best choice we made

I used vinny from high voltage.
Very reasonable priced and he had
everyone dancing all night.
