I've noticed that many of you ladies are getting married in church. I feel like I'm the only one getting married at the RH. Is anyone else getting married at the RH?

i'm getting married at the RH.. i don't know why people give you crap for not getting married in a church.. i mean after all the church is just a building and if they use the God as your witness, then God is omnipresent, so He would also be present at the RH!! jmo..

absolutely! my parents were not okay with it until i told them that a priest was doing the ceremony and it's easier for my handicapped aunt to have it all in one place AND i want an outdoor ceremony!!
this was the most stressful thing, along with the guest list. once that decision was made it was a huge load off.

i did! my dad was a little upset, but we're not religious, so it really didn't matter to him. he probably would have just preferred a church. DH's parents are religious, but they didn't mind at all, and we were shocked by that. but they felt it was our wedding, we should do it how we wanted to. and they're pretty old school, so we were very pleasantly surprised by their reaction.

I am getting married at the RH as well, and the only flack I have received is from my FMIL, who just needs something to b**ch about , so the fact that its not in Temple gives her ammo

not at all! we're not religious, so we don't feel the need to get married in a church.
