I really think that if you are organized a coordinator is not needed. I just confirmed my vendors the week before, made a few contingency plans and brought an envelope with my contracts with me that day. We booked reputable vendors and were not disappointed in the least.
The photographer directs while he is with you, the limo drivers direct during transport, the church usually has a coordinator or a sexton, and your maitr'd should do the rest - ours did from busteling my dress to packing up our gifts and cake top.

I just clicked with her....she is so sweet and I really liked her style and attitude. She was also named 'Vendor of the Year' by LI Wedings last year. Check her out.

I highly recommend using Laura from LA Productions. I wish I could afford a day of coordinator, I would use her in a heartbeat. She did my save the date magnets and is doing my invitations. She has the most amazing personality, is so bubbly, knowledgable, and easy to get along with.

The Kairos Moment - Bernadette - 718.878.2046 Very Very knowledgeable & great 'will get it done' attidute - but was too expensive for me abt $1500 for the day for herself & 1 asst. She will work with you on the price.

I used her! She is awesome. If I didn't have her I would have been a wreck. Whoever you hire, a coordinator is the best idea

Me too--Elaine is great. I agree that if you're organized, you probably don't *need* a wedding coordinator BUT I am also a control freak and I don't want to feel like I have to be the one to obsess about all of the things that my vendors are supposed to be doing on the wedding day. I'd rather pay someone else to deal with the headache of making sure that the contracts are being honored as specified, making sure the vendors get paid, organizing the BP, etc. Here is Elaine's website: Exquisite Events Good luck!

I am using Corina from Detailed Elegance- so far so good.
In my search I met with:
Francine Decicco (who was our second choice) We went with Corina cause she got married at Carltun and she worked more for what I was looking for. I recommend her too.
