Me too--Elaine is great. I agree that if you're organized, you probably don't *need* a wedding coordinator BUT I am also a control freak and I don't want to feel like I have to be the one to obsess about all of the things that my vendors are supposed to be doing on the wedding day. I agree... and at first I thought that a coordinator was completely unnecessary but the closer I get the more I realize that I will be freaking out all day ... worrying if everything is where it should be ...etc. My sanity on the most special day of my life just might be worth a few hundred dollars. We'll see :)

My Mom did everything on our Big day, but I wish we hired someone. If you canafford it you should go for it. I wish I did, because I think my Mom would have enjoyed the day more instead of stressing out a bit...

I have a question if i booked my vendors already the major ones i just need to do invitations and little stuff, is it to late to hire a cooridinator? I think i would feel more comfortable knowing someone was helping me. What do they do for you? Sorry i just dont know anything about it!!!

The coordinators Ive talked to said they will confirm w/ vendors the week of the wedding..you give them a copy of your contracts so they can make sure you're getting what you paid for. They will set up the tables the way you want (favors, menus, candles, etc) Will make sure the photographer doesnt miss any of the pics you want. Be there for you all day(since your family and BP will be busy) so you have someone to rely on. Hand out the tips to vendors if you'd like.. Basically anything you need them to take care of for you...

It's not too late to hire a coordinator. We booked ours a couple of months ago and we already had all of our vendors booked. She has been great so far with confirming everything with our vendors, answering any questions we might have, etc. We're also going to get our cry packs, programs, favors, etc. from her (FH and I are not creative at all and cannot make any of the above ourself!). If heaven forbid there are any emergencies on the wedding day, she or her assistant will deal with them so FH and I don't have to worry. Hope this helps. Good luck!
