let him do whatever and sleep wherever he wants :)
our nessa is a 57 pound, 5-year-old golden retriever & she sleeps with us every night. she sleeps at the foot of the bed & takes up lots of room. DH & I just kind of arrange ourselves around her. i wake up several hours before DH & she does not get up with me. she never wakes us up to go to the bathroom. in fact, sometimes we have to tell her to get out of bed & go outside! its so weird, she holds it all night and sometimes until 9:30 am on the weekends if we sleep late! i could never hold it that long!!
Fortunately Bruno who is 10 lbs, & takes up more of the bed than us, jumps out & goes on his wee wee pad!
When we got Toretellini he was 2 and a half pounds we were to scard we would roll over on him. Now he has no interest in sleeping on our bed. He's used to the rug, every now and then he may take a quick snooze on my bed, but its not all the time.
