Contrary to my wishes, Fascinus sleeps in our bed. We have tried evrything to prevent it...even buying a taller bed, but he inists on sleeping with us. He is very good at waking us when he has to be walked, but in the beginning he had a few accidents. Maybe three at the most. Now he will walk right up to DH & pull the covers off of him with his teeth, then nudge him until he wakes up.

Our little guy sleeps with us... he will stay in bed until I get up. Only a couple of times he woke up before us and he would scratch my face so I can wake up and let him out

When we first got Sandy we would let her sleep with us but I was awake half the night wondering where she was and what she was doing. We had a lot of accidents! So now we put her in a crate at night and let her out first thing in the morning. It seems to work. She is not good at letting us know when she has to go. So we try to keep her on a schedule.

I have an 80 lb vibrating motor that sleeps with me (the dog...) and she will go up and down all night...but in the am she gets super excited and will run back and forth to the front door.
When she was a pup...she'd walk in circles, whine, and run/sit/ or stare at the back door to go out. And if we ignored her, she'd 'woof' at us, like 'Hey...You over there! I gotta go!!!'

He's woken you up 3 times already to go potty? EXCELLENT! By you getting up and taking him when he wakes you...he'll know that his behavior illicits you waking up and taking him out! He's training you!

He does exactly what you said...walks around on the bed and sniffs my head til I wake up. Its funny. He is training me to know that means hes gotta go.
Murphy has slept with us almost the whole time. Once his 'bathroom muscles' strengthen as he gets older, he wont wake you up anymore. He would have accidents in the kitchen so I took him into my bed overnight and he didnt have anymore accidents.

Gizzy sleeps with me. Sometimes I wake up to growling and having my face licked, that means he has to go out. He is so cute

Wow..are any of these dogs puppies.
Tic tac is my baby beagle who just turned 1yr old this past July. I wake up all the time before her and I try to call her to come outside-she will pretend she won't hear me. So, every morning, I have to cradle her in my arms like a baby and physically put her in the back yard. She loves to have accidents in the . Something about these hound dogs.
My previous dog named Santos was an akita/german shephard mix he would sleep on the floor right by my bed...and every morning, I would be so scared, because he would put his snout right up against my nose and cry...and that is how he would wake me up. So...cute I miss him so much. .

Yes- my Chi sleeps with us- she actually holds it all night- she doesn't even want to get up when I put her on the paper to go potty- she often times holds it from 11pm at night until 8.30 the next morning. she's awesome

Maddie has slept with me every night since she was seven weeks old. When she was a puppy, she'd cry when she wanted to go out. Now she'll sleep as late as I do, and usually I am out of bed for a while before she decides to get her lazy arse out of bed.

Chewie did good again last night. He slept til 4:30am in the bed and woke me up to go to the bathroom. Good thing I get up at 4:45am for work anyway.

I would love for Rudy to sleep with us, but we have a very high bed, FH is afraid he'll accidentally kick him & he'll fall off . Also, Rudy LOVES his crate , if I put him on the bed w/ me, he'll sleep there for a couple of hours sometimes, but then he cries to go down b/c he wants to go to sleep in his own little 'bedroom'. How cute.

My dog, she's 5, has been sleeping with us from the beginning. She never got used to her 'crate' and I felt horrible making her sleep there. When she has to go out, she would and still does scratch on the bedroom door. The beginning was rough, some accidents on the carpet. But what can you do, she was a baby. She is such a bedhog for a 30lb. Dog - she, DH and I form an 'H' in bed. But what could I expect from a dog that drinks out of a glass and eats off a spoon :) that's my girl :)
