I hear so many negative MIL comments and I just feel truly blessed. My FMIL is so easy to get along with. She is very kind and generous as well. She already wants me to call them mom and dad and I really have always been made to feel a part of the family.
Anyone else happy with their in laws?

I love my MIL..she is very good to us...but she is lonely since DH is the baby and tends to get 'clingy'. She'll watch over me when I cook for the 2 of us....but other than that...I enjoy spending time with her. I'm just the type of person that enjoys their private time.

Shes not that bad.....maybe thats because she lives in Florida? But seriously she is not a mean person at all - shes just a little ditzy. I guess thats better than being a *****.
My FMIL is a very kind and generous women, and we get along just fine. I know she LOVES her son and she did an awesome job making him the man that he is, I could not have asked for a better man. so I am thankful to her for him. She did a great job and she still does.

I love my FMIL! She is awesome. She tells you like it is. I am the same way. If you make me mad I am going to tell you. That's why we get along so well. We are both honest about our feelings. She loves her son alot and I think she did a great job raising him. FFIL is another story!

I dont HATE my FMIL, she is really nice. A little quircky - but she always looks out for me and makes sure FI treats me right. It could be a lot worse!! I think my FI has a worse situation.

I love my FILs cause they are good people and they treat me very well. But we are totally different types of people. They are very conservative in terms of political and social issues - need i say more

same situation here. i feel so blessed and lucky to have such wonderful in-laws. it def. makes things a lot easier.

I love my mother in law. She and I were talking about how a lot of girls hate there mother in laws and she and I have such a special bond between the 2 of us. She is a special lady!

I think my FILS are wonderful. Yeah, there are plenty of times where I just, don't agree with them but, overall I love them. Even my mom hangs out with FI parents at least once a week. I'm so thankful that our families get along.

I am going to sound like a total dork but.... I really do hear how everyone hates their in-laws and FMIL are such pains etc.
My situation is hard....she is the wisest and sweetest woman I know but she is very strong on her beliefs and the way things should be. It is hard to deal with sometimes but for the most part....she is great and I am glad she is who she is. She is a very practical woman and it is just hard to have another woman enter in as a 'MOM'. 'I already have one and she is really great, why should you be telling me what to do or how to live'. It's hard.

i think my fil is great he recently changed his life around for the better a am so proud of him. sad to say that my fmil passed away 18months ago and we were very close for teh short time that i did know her!

I LOVE my fmil...she is such a sweet, warm person...so easy to get along with. She is so accomodating and friendly and I am so excited to become a part of her family...(ffil is wonderful as well)...She never ever butts in, and if anything is always afraid of becoming a nuisance..which I doubt would ever havppen. having read some posts on this site, and having heard stories from others has really made me feel blessed to have such great fil's!
