I hear so many negative MIL comments and I just feel truly blessed. My FMIL is so easy to get along with. She is very kind and generous as well. She already wants me to call them mom and dad and I really have always been made to feel a part of the family.
Anyone else happy with their in laws?

What a great post!!! I always get so sad when I see all the negative MIL posts ... my FMIL passed away six months after we got engaged, so it makes me sadder the people who can't appreciate the mother of their true love - no matter what kind of relationship

I think that my FMIL are great. I couldn't wait unitl I could call them Mom and Dad. They didn't care if I started calling them that 5 years ago when I first started going out with my FM. I thought it was disrespectful until I got engaged.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my mother in law. She's not only a 'second' mother to me but also a friend. We went shopping yeaterday and she bought me living room curtains, why? Because I liked them and she wanted to. I told her no, but she insisted. She's very generous, not just in giving things, but in herself too - always there to listen, talk, etc. I'm really glad we have this relationship, it makes it easier for FH.
I love the whole future family! They have felt like my own family for years already.

I do! I feel so lucky to have a wonderful FMIL! We have so much in common and get along great. We even spent a week in Disney World (just the two of us) before FH and I were even engaged!!

I love my FILs, especially my FMIL. She's really become a second mother to me, and treats me as she treats her 'real' children. She's also been very generous and helpful in regards to the wedding. I have no complaints! I feel very fortunate to be part of such a nice family...

I love my MIL and FIL. She has a wonderful soul. We have gotten so much stronger. I feel bad for my husband. I feel like my parents are horrendous and he walked into such a horrific situation. His parents are dream parents.

I love my MIL..she is very good to us...but she is lonely since DH is the baby and tends to get 'clingy'. She'll watch over me when I cook for the 2 of us....but other than that...I enjoy spending time with her. I'm just the type of person that enjoys their private time.
Mine is a similiar situation.

I also am blessed with wonderful FILs .. in many aspects, I get along BETTER with my FMIL than my own mother, because my FMIL is just less controlling and demanding than my own MOM.. (though don't get me wrong, I love my mother and noone can replace her) MY FMIL and I go shopping together and chat a lot on the phone .. she's great!
My FFIL is a doll, also... such a sweet man. I really love spending time with them, and its especially nice because my parents and FH's parents are also very compatible and get along VERY well .. it makes planning the wedding SOOOO much easier than if they'd hated each other!
Now the EXTENDED part of FH's family, as well as a few of his SILs... well that's another story entirely!! Ugh! (LOL)

Guilty!! MY fmil is awesome. She can be a little annoying at times but for the most part she is a pleasure. FH Dad and I crack jokes constantly at eachother. Thank God I don't have issues with them... it would totally suck if I did!!

My fmil is great. She barelys' butts into our business, and when she does, she either starts or finishes with 'just my opinion'. No complaints here.

I am so lucky to have a FMIL and FFIL that I get along wonderfully with! And my parents and FH love each other as well.. to make things even more perfect our parents get a long so well with eachother.. my mom always reminds me that I am so lucky to have found such a wonderful family to marry in to

I love my FMIL!!! From the day I met her, she made me feel like part of the family. She is so great and I'm so thankful that I don't have to worry about problems with her!

My FMIL (and FFIL too) is great! She is soo sweet and we get along so well. We have a lot in common. I consider myself pretty lucky to have them as future in laws.
