What are your beliefs on a woman making more than a man and how would you handle it if you were in a situation like this??????

right now, i do
i personally dont think anything of it b/c my mom always made more than my dad, but my dad also stayed home with us for years.

I have a higher salary, but because he is in the military he gets stipends and allowances which put him ahead of me.

I'm the breadwinner...
I think it bothers him a little but if it wasn't for me we wouldn't have a place to live OR have a wedding. I think he's bitter because he's worked so hard for 15 years and I come around (9 years younger than him and make more money...I have my masters, he didn't go to college...it makes a big difference!

I make more salary and in OT (never enough nurses around!) but at the moment with me in school he does. It doesnt bother him, and I want to continue my education and he makes enough to support the two of us for now.

I do, but FH doesn't mind, afterall, it's for our future and he benefits as much as I do. I am just more motivated by money and don't make any apologies for that, nor should any women!!!

i make more and have the benefits as well. that being said, i'm not in the career i want to be (it's just a good, stable job and i'm planning on taking the steps to leave and get back into the field i have my degree in once i finish my masters in two years) and he is. it balances out and although we'd both like to make more money (makes life easier, right?) he couldn't care less and neither could i. it's both of ours in the end and what we're using to start a life and family together.

Dh makes $$$$$$ yes six digits more then I do!!!! I make decent money...but with the economy its been going down BIG TIME!!!We are both savers!!! Im also very traditional....I cant wait to have babies and stay home with them, maybe work ten hours a week and continue to go to school part time! I enjoy it...then later on have my career after my babies are grown up. I actually love that DH make alot more then I do.

FH does, but he works 2 jobs, and his day job he has been at for 14 years so that helps for him

it was close when i was living on li, but now that we're in SC, i'll make a whole lot less. that's fine with both of us, because hopefully one day i'll stay home with all of our babies!

Right now we both make the same exact amount, we have the same job title and work for the same company... but after we graduate and pass our board exams, he's going to be doing a residency and i'm just going to be working, so I will be making triple the amount that he is making for the 2 years while he does that. Once he finishes, we'll be about equal again or depending on the job he gets he'll be making more. Since we're both technically doing the same thing... both pharmacists... it's not really an issue. We've just chosen different career paths within that field.

he makes more, not much more. but i'm the saver! bcuz of all the saving, i paid for the entire wedding plus the down payment on our coop. he bought debt into our marriage lol
