Who is responsible for bridal party hair styling? I am not requiring my bridesmaids to get any specific kind of style. I am happy to arrange for a stylist for them, but am I responsible for paying for this then? I have been in bridal parties in the past myself but did not have to deal with this issue.

I'd say generally, they pay for it themselves though some brides pay for it (a minority I think).... I have gone back and forth about it, still not sure, but I don't think I am going to pay for it in the end.

I agree, they pay for it themselves. I've been a bridesmaid twice and I've paid for myself.

I gave my BMs the choice as to whether or not they wanted to have their hair done professionally or do it themselves. I arranged for someone to do their hair (same woman who did mine) and a few of my girls paid to have theirs done by her. Two did their hair themselves, and one got her own stylist to do hers.
im paying for makeup only but not their hair. but im gonna give them the option of having it done or not having it done

it would be a nice gift but you are not required to pay for their hair..i 've been a BM before and we paid for our own hair

i would say the pay for it ... i am not going to be able to pay for my BP hair ... and i am also in a wedding and i am paying to get my hair done

I paid for the hair and makeup for everyone, but I had a small BP - 3 BM, 2 FG and 2 MOB. Now that I think about it....7 people is alot!! I now realize why my bank account suffered! 2 of the BMs were my sisters and the 2 FGs were my nieces, so I couldn't ask them for the money. However, most of the weddings I have been in, I have paid for my own hair and makeup.

i really wanted all my girls to have their hair professionally done so since i was demanding it i paid for it for them and made hair and makeup part of their gifts. but i got them a bunch of little stuff too! they were soooooooo happy!

Well....i think it depends. If the bride is REQUIRING all the girls to have their hair done professionally, then the bride needs to foot the bill too. Its only fair.
However, if you leave the decision up to them and they choose to have their hair done professionally, then the bride has NO obligation to pay -- its their perogitive.
Personally, I could care less whether they do their own hair or have it done -- they'll look great either way. But my girls all wanted to have it done by a salon, so they're paying for it themselves.

No your not responsible. If you want to , you can, but you're no obligated to, or it will cost u a fortune with all those girls!
