I'm sure this was asked before, and I did a search, but I couldn't find a topic on it. Who pays? I have 9 people plus me who need hair and makeup. That will cost me close to $2000! How many of you are paying for your bridal parties? I want to get them jewelry for the day of as a gift and maybe an engraved makeup mirror with their names, so I can't pay for it and say it is their gift. Anyone having them pay for their own?

their supposed to pay although some people pay for it as their gift. im having them pay for it. i cant afford to.

Some people pay in lieu of a BIG BP gift.....the ones who are really well off pay for all AND buy a big gift...or, in the 3 cases that I've been in a BP so far, each person pays for their own and then get a nice BP gift. Hope that helps.

Everyone in my BP knows that we are paying for just about EVERYTHING....so when i told them that i wanted to pay for hair & makeup - there was a full fleged strike....the girls refused...
so - they are all paying for their own stuff..

I have 8 girls plus my mom that needs hair and make-up. I decided that even thought it will be expensive I will pay for their hair so it will be less of a burden on them. I also got a good price on the jewlery I bought them for the wedding and that is all they are getting

I think it is definately ok for them to pay and it is not your obligation to pay...
I have 10 bridesmaids and I am paying for hair and makeup....
I am also taking them to a bridesmaid/MOH tea lunch party....
And I am also giving them gift certificates at bliss spa for facial or massage.....
They are very dear to me and most of them I did not even ask they assigned themselves....
They are such a great help and I feel obligated their dress and shoes are so expensive .....I want them to feel special....
Also I have been a bridesmaid 4 times and I know how nice it felt to feel appreciated.....

My sisters dont want me to pay for their hair and makeup. They are very picky, they want to do it theirselves, that was easy!!!, lol

I told my BM and MoH that they are on their own for hair and makeup - I am only paying for my FG (who's 4..lol) only because she has a headpiece that needs to be pinned in to hold it in her hair.
Other than that if they want hair/makeup done it's on them to pay for it.

Yeah, I'm going to pay for my two flower girls. Their mom is a bridesmaid, so that would only be fair.

i'm paying for my girls' hair, but not make-up. i could only afford one or the other, and they'd much rather have their hair done, and do their own make-up. i also got them day of earrings.

I have 4 bridesmaids and I asked them whether they wanted me to pay for their makeup or get a surprise BP gift They all choose the makeup. So, I am paying for their makeup but no additional gift for them....

I AM PAYING FOR THEIR HAIR AND MAKEUP AS THEIR GIFT...
I WILL SEND THEM EACH A 'DAY OF BEAUTY' CARD THAT WILL EXPLAIN WHAT THEY ARE GETTING WHEN IT GETS CLOSER TO MY WEDDING DAY.....

I am going to ask all my girls to pay for thier own hair and make up too... I have 10 BMs plus my MOH (my mom) so its way too expensive!! For my BP party, my mom is paying for all the girls to get manicures and pedicures as part of thier gift.

I have always paid for my hair and makeup when I've been a BM. It's a nice gesture but it's not something you have to do.

I'm paying for all their stuff...I felt bad asking them to pay for it. But I'm not really giving them a gift...just a tiny makeup bag with day of emergency goodies in it.
