I know my sister (MOH) and my mother are paying the shower, but only because my other bridesmaids and FMIL never offered to help pay for anything. Is that normal or are they getting away with not helping? I don't want it to all fall on them if it is not what is supposed to happen. As someone who is the first of her friends to get married and only the 2nd of my cousins, I have no idea what the proper etiquette is for something like this. HELP!

I think tradition once stated that it was hosted by the bridal party. My mother is hosting my shower.

It depends. For mine my mom paid for the place and my bridal party did the decorations and games etc... I have been in wedding parties where the mother paid for everything and some that the bridal party paid for everything

I believe the mom is supposed to pay but in my case the whole bridal party is helping out.
