Who pays for wedding after party?

I am just looking into some places for the party after the wedding- But who can afford to pay for ANOTHER party!

AFAIK, the bride and groom pay for it....but I could def be wrong.

yes I think the bride and groom do. Were having an after party at the bar in our hotel or I just might have one at the house it's cheaper and more comfy. sine the wedding is in the summer you can have everyone outside. Oh but thats if your having a day wedding. dont neigbors would like a whole bunch of drunk people in the backyard at 1 in the morning. lolo

I assume we will go to the bar in the hotel for a drink or 2. I assume people will pay for their own drinks.

Yeah, if its gonna be another actual 'party' then prolly the B&G, but if it's a more informal 'hang out in the bar' then I'd assume the guests would pay for their own drinks.

FH and I will be paying the fee to keep the hotel bar open late. But my guests need to pay for their own drinks.

thats what I assume too. afterparty at the hotel. Whoever comes, comes and pays for own drinks.

yea the bride and groom def pay. my sister had an after party after her wedding and she and her hubby paid for it. she had it at her house but then she had to buy all the booze and rent tents and tables and chairs and stuff for people and she also had to clean up the mess the next day. I would just block the bar at the hotel and have your guests pay for their own drinks and mingle with everyone there. guests had open bar for 4-5 hours at your wedding anyway so you really shouldn't be expected to pay for their drinks at the after party..JMO

I would think its a combination, bride and groom for the space, guests for their own drinks

If it's going to be an actual party then I'd say the bride and groom. However, if you're getting people together to hang out at a bar, I think everyone pays for their own drinks

we are paying for ours. We negotiated an amazing deal with our RH ... they have a bar/lounge area that we will go into while all the old people go home ...

can't wait!
