My family is Italian, well American-Italian. My parents are paying for the wedding, and FH's parents are paying for our honeymoon. Traditionally, the bride's parents pay for the wedding, but times are SO different now, that a lot of people can't necessarily afford it. FH and I are paying for details (BP gifts, matchbooks, STD's, etc.) but that's because I don't want to take away from my official budget for those things.
My best friend is off-the-boat from Sicily and when she got married she and her husband paid most of it b/c her parents couldn't afford to. They helped out, but my friend and her husband took the bulk.
ETA: FH's parents are also taking care of the RD.

I'm half Italian (both parents are half) and FH is a quarter Italian... My family definitely claims its Italian side - we are such guidos lol. My parents are paying for the entire wedding, down to the last detail. FH and I are paying for our rings and our HM though, and FH's parents are paying for the rehearsal dinner.
