OK... I've been researching this alot, and I'm sorta getting ALL types of answers...and I know that you girls will pull through...
Who is supposed to pay for the rehearsal dinner...???
I hear a majority saying the groom's parents... some the brides parents, and even less they couple is paying themselves. I def. can't do that last one... and if it's the first one I'd like to discuss that with his parents now...rather then last minute... LOL. Please help! TIA!!

my fh told his dad hes gotta pay! i was so embarrassed lol. and since were also having a huge bp i got really nervous bc i felt bad having him pay for everyone. but whatever he cant pay, i guess we will, ahhhhh.

Traditionally, it's the Groom's family that pays for this. However, I saw in Martha Stewart Weddings that it's traditionally the Groom's family but the Bride and Groom can pay for this as well. HTH!

Traditionally its the grooms parents, but with how much traditions have changed I dont think its very specific anymore. My ILs paid for ours

My MOH is my FSIL...she took it upon herself to tell her father that he better start saving his pennies because he has to pay for that. He doesn't know that I know she told him that, so there's no awkwardness. I new there was a good reason I made her my MOH

The grooms parents but since both of my FH's parents are deceased we were picking up the tab until my parents offered to pay for it.

if you're going by tradition, groom's parents are supposed to handle the whole thing (planning, financing, organizing, everything). the bride's parents have enough to worry about w/ the wedding. however, nowadays w/ groom's family pitching in on the wedding or couples paying themselves, there's wiggle room on the RD, so i guess it kinda depends on how everything else was worked out.
