Both. We both put $ into a joint savings that was to be used for only wedding related things.

we both did but we have a shared account for the wedding were we put all our extra money in to pay for everthing

OH! But I did have a coworker who believed it was his job to plan, book, and finance the Honeymoon and have it as a surprise. Literally his wife did not know where they were going until they boarded the plane.
He thought it was weird that I did not know of this 'tradition'. I thought it was weird that his wife had no say in their Honeymoon!
