My parents are paying for our honeymoon so that was one less thing we had to worry about since we're paying for our wedding ourselves.

we created a honeymoon registry, instead of having a store registry. Instead of cupcake pans we are getting excursions, airfare and the cruise paid for!!!!!!!!!! FH and I have to front the remainder though!!!!

OH! But I did have a coworker who believed it was his job to plan, book, and finance the Honeymoon and have it as a surprise. Literally his wife did not know where they were going until they boarded the plane.
He thought it was weird that I did not know of this 'tradition'. I thought it was weird that his wife had no say in their Honeymoon!
This is why I was asking...we had a huge debate @ work about this...

Both. We both put $ into a joint savings that was to be used for only wedding related things.

we had an e-party, and the gifts/profit we made from the party instantly became our HM budget. it was great!!!!!
