I picked. I am paying for the dresses also but even if I wasn't paying I would still pick.
ETA - I think the bride should defintely do the picking. They are going to be in your pictures so you should have the ultimate say.

My sister (my MOH) picked the dresses. The only thing I told her was that the designer had to make it in green.

I let my BP pick out their dresses with the condition of either picking out the same dress, same color or different dress, all the same color and material.
They ended up picking their dresses from Vera Wang.

I let them give me some of their ideas and In the end I chose. I wanted them to look a certain way but also be comfortable

I picked two dresses and then brought each of them to the store to try both on. The one with the most consensus won!

I had final say but I told them my idea as to what I wanted and they picked the dresses to try on! I LOVE the dress we picked! And so do most of, if not all, of them!!!

My bridesmaids & I all had the same idea of what we are looking for I narrowed it down to four, they narrowed it down to 2 I made the final decision, but we all love it.

Ugh - we're still looking - it got pretty ugly with mine and I ended up asking one BM to bow out (not my first choice of action but it was getting really hurtful). We're starting from scratch. I think the BMs should decide (since they're the ones wearing it) with the bride getting veto rights.

I picked 3 dresses and they chose from those 3. I wanted to let them choose, but I thought it would get crazy.

My MOH (FSIL) helped me narrow it down betwen a couple of choices. But it was my decision ultimately...

First I went with all of my BM (bad decision) Then after that HARD day I took one of my sisters (Matron of Honor) and we together picked the dress out and then I called my other sister (Maid of Honor) and she came down and tried it on and agreed with us that it was the dress. The other two BM live in Queens and Manhattan and I wasnt going to do all of them again...

I am letting my BMs pick whatever black dress they want as long as it is not above or at the knee and is a 'dressy' fabric.
I know I am out of the ordinary here and things may not look so traditional. The funny thing is, so far their dresses (the 3 that bought theirs already) are very similiar - straight, tea-length, cap sleeves or sleeveless.

I picked the color and fabric, and they all got to pick there own top and skirt, from the impression BM seperates collection best decision I ever made!!!

I picked out about 5 different dresses and they decided which one they liked best(which I coincidentally loved the most as well). I just picked the color after that.
It was a rather simple task for us so I was very happy !!
