It seems like alot of girls got to pick out their engagement ring. FH has his own way of doing things and let me show him a picture I liked once but he refused to go in a jewlery store with me (so it would be total surprize). lol he also told me if I didn't like the ring he got me then we weren't getting married. Its not the ring I would have picked but I love it just the same.
Am I the only one who didn't pick their ring?

i picked my diamond. And I showed the jeweler 3 tacori rings i was obsessing over and he took a little of each ring and made mine. I love it! its amazing. But i never saw it until he asked

I picked my ring exactly. I LOVE IT. I wanted one stone- something very simple with a thick band.

I didnt get to pick out my ring. I showed him a pic of it once months before we got engaged...but I had never seen it in person. I didnt get to pick it out but I love it.!

FH just asked me what cut diamond i liked...i told him i would prefer cushion, but would love anything he got me. He picked it out on his own and he did a great job!!! I love my ring

Fh knew I wanted a 1 1/2 carat round brilliant tiffany setting ring, and that quality meant a lot to me...I never tried on a ring and he even guessed my size! It is exactly what I got and I absolutely love it...after we got engaged he told me I could have whatever setting I wanted if I happened to change my mind...but I am in love with this ring..he did an excellent job!

FH's sister took me ring shopping and i narrowed it down to 3 rings and ranked them, because i wanted FH to pick out which one he liked best and i wanted to be surprised by which one he picked. His sister took him the next day to show him the rings and he picked out my #1 choice

I picked mine... DH asked me what kind of e-ring I'd like and I said I had no idea! I was wavering between a cushion cut stone with a pave band and matching pave wedding band, or a 6 prong low-set solitaire and a diamond band and in the end I opted for the solitaire w/ a diamond band because I liked the way the wedding band stands out.
I helped him find a setting I liked (every jeweler and their brother offers some kind of 6 prong solitaire but i wanted a more fluid look than tall angular prongs) and we looked at diamonds together but in the end he chose, and I never saw the completed look until he proposed.

I didn't pick out mine. We never really talked about rings because whenever the topic of getting engaged came up, he would tell me he wanted to give me his grandmother's ring. I assumed that when we actually got engaged I would be getting that- but he surprised me and saved up for months to pick me out a ring all by himself.

he had asked me LONG LONG TIME AGO WHAT KIND OF RING I WANTED.... to tell you the truth i wasn't sure then I told him If one day you propose just get me a round solitaire... you can't never go wrong with those and i love my ring!!!!...he picked a wonderful ring so it was a surprise

FH knows about diamonds more than most women. He actually taught me all about the four C's and the different styles and weights of diamonds. I knew I wanted a princess cut and my only requirements to him was that it had to be a gold band and that I wanted a momma diamond with babies on the sides! lol. He did a great job and I love my momma diamond and the two babies!

FH knew I wanted a round stone but that's all. FH apparently helped the jeweler design and then redesign a ring and I wound up with a beautiful ring with a round center stone, two emerald cut side stones and smaller pave diamonds in the band itself, and I love it. He said he wanted to get me something different/unique so he had the jeweler try a few different combos of the side stones and this was his favorite (I was previously torn between wanting a round stone and an emerald stone and he remembered), I give him a lot of credit for picking everything out on his own!

i jokingly gave him a picture of what style i liked, i originally showed him a princess cut w/ diamonds all down the band... he ended up getting me a 3 stone ring, a princess cut stone with two smaller princess cuts on both sides, i am still happy with it!
