so I was wondering whose responsibility this is. The other night FH's best man came over and they basically informed me that they have picked out what they are wearing. Keep in mind we haven't discussed colors, style, etc. Apparently his best man bought the 'Best Man's Bible', which told him that it's his responsibility. They didn't even think to come to me to ask what I wanted. They also told me that I am not allowed to know what it is they want to wear. They eventually showed me what they want but I was kind of annoyed by this, especially since when we first got engaged my FH told me that he didn't want to have anything to do with planning. UGH!
So did you choose their outfits or did they?

My DH hates getting dressed up. So when it was time for tuxes, HE picked the place. He picked the tuxedo place where his brother went because he really liked the tuxedo when he rented it.
That being said, WE both went to the store to look at the tuxedos. We basically picked out the styles together, and I picked out the vest/tie to go with our wedding colors.

Umm I will probably be going with FH to pick out his because since I am getting an ivory dress, he has to have an ivory shirt [which he won't remember] and I want to make sure the guys are going to match the girls, so I will be there!

I chose them... Showed it to DH, he agreed on the choice... so we told the boys when and where to get measured... They couldnt say a damn word bc we bought ALL of their rentals AND they got to keep their ties that we bought them as well

wow, that's ridiculous ... it's your job (with FH) to pick out the tuxes. Like you said, it needs to match your color scheme!

The bride usually picks the colors of the GMs vests and ties. The groom usually picks the tuxedos. Most of the time though everyone goes together.
The bride never 'doesn't know' in advance what they're wearing.
Sounds like the BM needs a little slap in the face... whose wedding does he think this is????

I'm totally okay with FH picking out his own tux. Luckily he's very into fashion, and would never wear anything to make himself look bad. He actually already picked out his tux this weekend, which looks really great btw! And is waiting for me to bring a swatch of the bm's dress to pick out the GM's vests.
Unless your FH has terrible fashion sense, then I don't think you should worry too much about it. The least we can do is allow the groom to choose what he's wearing to his own wedding... unless, again, he has absolute horrendous taste!

I picked the placed based on positive recommendation of LIW brides....then DH & I went in and picked the one we liked. We went back again with the dads and the bridal party and they all agreed and liked it.

I KNOW RIGHT! hahaha. I don't know what is going on. He has also decided that the bridal party should stay in a different hotel as the rest of the guests. I think maybe him and FH should get married and that will be the end of it!

I don't have a problem with them picking their own tuxes, actually Iwould rather not have to pick them but they just decided on colors, etc, without even talking to me about a color scheme for the wedding, and what's worst they didn't want me to know. They decided on doing black with burgandy.... when we haven't even picked colors yet! ahhhhh!

DH husband picked out his tux and the guys tuxes. He was actually very excited about it. I went with him a few days later to see it and help make a final decision on the guys ties.

FH and I shopped around for them together, then he asked me what I thought of it all - I told him the ultimate decision on the style is up to him and what he feels comfortable with (but he still wanted my opinion)...so I guess you could say that we did come to a final decision together on both the style and the vest colors
