so I was wondering whose responsibility this is. The other night FH's best man came over and they basically informed me that they have picked out what they are wearing. Keep in mind we haven't discussed colors, style, etc. Apparently his best man bought the 'Best Man's Bible', which told him that it's his responsibility. They didn't even think to come to me to ask what I wanted. They also told me that I am not allowed to know what it is they want to wear. They eventually showed me what they want but I was kind of annoyed by this, especially since when we first got engaged my FH told me that he didn't want to have anything to do with planning. UGH!
So did you choose their outfits or did they?

I am leaving the tuxes up to FH, he didn't didn't pick my dress.
Agreed! My fiance has style and I trust him to pick out a nice tux! He is a big boy!

wow, that's ridiculous ... it's your job (with FH) to pick out the tuxes. Like you said, it needs to match your color scheme!

Um... I've NEVER heard of the BM picking out the tuxes.
Both DH and I picked. We went to the tux shop, just the 2 of us... and we picked a tux. Then the guys went there when they were free to be measured and leave a deposit.
I've never heard of the groomsmen or the best man picking this out. they don't even know what colors you are doing or the look you are going for. If anything I can see your FH picking the tux's. If you don't feel confident in that... then just the 2 of you go together and pick it out. The guys never even have to know that you went with him to pick the tuxes.
I think if this bothers you and it's a tux that you don't want to wear... then you should tell them that you and FH are picking out the tuxes.
I'd be annoyed too!!

I was never 100% sure about this until my sister got married. She went with my brother in law and I plan on doing the same. I will go with FH first so we have an idea. He knows just as much as tuxes as me. I would def not leave this up to the best man.

I will probably go with FH to pick out his tux because he always asks my opinion on what to wear. Majority of our groomsmen are OOT, so we will probably pick the tuxes for all.
