Who plans on buying an outfit for their shower?

I want to start shopping for a dress, but not finding anything i like! Has anyone else started looking if you planned on getting something special?

I do but what are you girls who are being suprised plan on doing? I don't want to show up looking like a shlep because they did a good job tricking me..haha..when it comes to like September anytime I go somewhere I will be sure to be dressed up just in case LOL

I'll probably pick out an outfit and give it to my mom to hold on to for me.

Thats a good idea and then ill run to the bathroom to change LOL

I have a dress that I bought for FH's cousin's wedding...I was planning to wear it also to my shower. Is that in poor taste, if it will be majority of the same people at both?

Regardless, if it's a total faux pas, maybe I'll buy something else simple.

I have the cutest dress I got to big for before I could wear it, so my goal is to get in it by shower time.

I already bought one in Atlantic City and my cousin is going to keep it at her house b/c she wants my shower to be a surprise.....this way I will show up and then do a costume change. LOL

Mine is supposed to be a surprise, but I am pegging it for March or April.

I am on the hunt for dresses as we speak... I just want to drop some poundage before I buy something. I have had my eye on a few things though... Anthropologie has a cute dress that I love! Also... I get weekly shop it to me sales alerts and I stalk them for dresses.

haha Im a freak so I aready have mine! No honestly tho my motto is if I find something I love at a good price I scoop it up, I was in Banana Republic last month at the new Tanger Outlets I found this cute dress, its a bright like melon color I guess and it fit me perfect and It was reduced from 70 to like 35 I was like damn it where can I wear this duh my shower!

Mine is going to be a surprise so I told my mom I would buy an outfit and give it to her then she can just bring that. I'm so picky with my clothes there is no way my mother would dare to pick anything for me lol
