Me. All my friends that are guys tell me I am the best driver they ever saw. After all I am doing it for 19 yrs!

We both love to drive so I'd say it's a tie.

Now if you asked who was the better mechanic, I'd have to say FH for sure... I'm only good for an oil change or something similar.

I am my Fh does not know how to drive that well. I think that I am way better then he is.

DH drives like a Grandpa

Although I'll give him parking... he used to be a valet parker at a Country Club in high school so he's definitely got the upper hand in that respect!

Depends where we are.
We both drive safely and for me that’s the most important.

But as far as GETTING us there. I’d have to say me.
Jim has tendencies not to know where exactly he’s going without his GPS on. I love it but what if it’s off or you miss your exit. Jim is usually a bit lost until the computer figures out where he is.

In heavy traffic I’m a better driver ONLY because I have the smaller car. I’m VERY used to the drive of my car (8 years of driving the same car) and so my confidence of handling is higher. I think 5 steps ahead where I want to be and I can usually get a good feel for the traffic.

In Highway driving we area about the same. Give us an open lane and off we go. No real talent to this expect watching for cops and keeping safe distances. Speeding doesn’t equal stupid. Only problem is draw bridges which my car starts to slip and slide.

Day to day driving I feel I am just slightly a better driver but Jim is learning. I take chances and claim my place on the road but it’s the little things that make me a ‘better’ driver. I keep my car far enough away from the car in front when stopped that if I want (and can) I can move over to another lane. Jim used to not do this, but is learning. BIG help with disabled cars or slow people.

I don’t have any problem making my own detours. I am very confident in my navigational skills to get me where I need to be. For Jim, if he hasn’t been there then he doesn’t even try to get to know the place. It used to freak me out that he’d drive from Nassau to Queens without stopping for gas, cause he didn’t know the places around. He’s not the top to take an exit and explore. I am.

But again, we are both Safe drivers and really that is a big bonus in my book. I mean safe as in not purposely causing accidents, but it doesn’t mean we’re weak. I have been known to stick the nose of my car out to make my lane change and I KNOW I’m guilty of weaving in traffic if it annoys me. Also guilty of ridding on the A$S of another driver (ESPECIALLY JIM) to avoid having someone enter into my lane. And I know I’ve been guilty of taking curves fast and enjoying a good ride.

I truly think FH is a better driver .. but he is always impressed by my driving as well. I think he likes the fact that I can actually parallel park and tend to drive too fast (sorry, but its true!)

He's a car NUT and his biggest hobby is ANYTHING to do with cars .... he is amazingly knowledgeable. He truly should work for one of the big car manufacturers, he's be an asset

But either way, I gotta give him top honors!

We're both pretty much even until you piss my Dh off. Talk about Road Rage!! I tell him all the time that's what's gonna do him in!!
I however, will yell when you make me nuts but I dont turn into a lunatic!!
