Who should be marrying us?

Original post by quirkybride

I'm not religious neither is FH. I'm not sure if there is a god, he thinks there is. My mother raised me Catholic, FH was raised Episcopalian. I'm not looking to make a statement. I'd like to have someone religious marry us, so that we are acknowledging our families, but if possible not have a very religious ceremony. Is there some kind of compromise?

Pastor April....she really customizes what you want. Our ceremony was spiritual rather than religious but she can do whatever you want

HIGHLY recommend rev deb. she's absolutely amazing!!! before we got married everyone kept saying, 'a woman? really?' but after the ceremony everyone saw why we picked her! they absolutely loved her! our ceremony was beautiful!!! we're not religious either but we wanted some sort of spirituality in the ceremony so we chose 2 readings from the bible and she included those, but the whole thing was very personal and she is a phenomenal speaker so it was very well articulated and everything!

i have a copy of our ceremony if you'd like to see what kinds of things she does!

Minister Keith Gugliuzza did our ceremony. We had a completely non religious but he does all kinds of ceremonies and can accomodate anything you want. You can contact him his website is nymarriages.com

same with us. We are not religious but wanted a religious factor to appease our families since FH & I were both raised catholic.

We went with Minister Keith.

We used Miniser Keith. He was excellent! All of our guests commented on how beautiful and personal the ceremony was. We were very specifc with what we wanted and didn't want and he was very respectful of that.
