A bit of a spin-off from a post on here about dancing with her brother...
My Father passed away in 2005...yet I was very close to him. Now, It's easy to know who FH will dance with...his Mom...specially since he's momma's boy...LOL, but I don't know who I should dance with. I have three, yes THREE possible choices. So I'm lost!! HAHA
Option one - FH's Dad...I'm super close to him and almost consider him my real Father in soo many ways. He's sooo great, words simply arent enough.
Option two - My Brother... Yes, he is walking me down the aisle, so I think it's only right to have him dance with me, but I don't know... I mean, yes, he's 5 years older then me, but he acts 10 years YOUNGER... So I don't know how I feel about that...
Option three - My Mom's new Boyfriend that she's been with for just about two years. He is also verry helpful and has done a world of difference to make my Mom happy...
Sooo... what should I do??? LOL

This makes me sad - I lost my Dad in 2005 too. With that said, I think you should have your brother....my FH and I actually aren't doing the dance because I will not be able to deal with that. I have a hard time thinking of him not being there so we're avoiding things like that. His Mom totally understands and they can dance to a regular song we're going to play during the night. Good luck with your choice.

Awww I'm sorry for your loss. We are tyin to incorporate my Father asmuch as possible...I will have a vase just for him with his favorite flowers, a few pictures of him, and even a memory candle... It hurts that I won't be able to dance with him, but I still want to have the dance...

Definitely not your mom's new boyfriend. It's really such an honor to be asked and even though he might be special to your mom, I would think that FH's dad or your brother is more appropriate. I vote FHs dad. Or you could dance with your mom.

Can you dance with all three? If all three are important to you in different ways, then why not? It could be awesome! Start dancing with your brother (because he's the one who walked you down the aisle, and is from your side of the family.)
Then have Mom's new beau 'cut in'- you know, the whole tap-on-the-shoulder thing! Dance with him for a while, and then...
have FH's dad 'cut in', and finish with him!! Sort of like a new beginning with a new family-sort-of-thing.
I think you clearly feel some reason to dance with all three, but one is not jumping out at you to dance with solo. Why not celebrate the fact that you have so many men who love you and want that privilege? I say, all three!
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS IDEA!!!! This way u wont have to chose and feel bad about it.

My dad passed in 94, so my brother and I are dancing together..
I think your bro =) It will mean so much to him to be in your dad's shoes. My brother is totally immature (we're twins) and acts like a 15 year old but I know he's really proud to walk me down and dance with me-even though he doesn't admit it so easily.

id say either your brother, or your mom. I also have been to weddings where brides danced with their mothers, and their mother felt very lucky to be asked. It wa emotional for them

To incorporate the other men in your life, you can have the MC invite them onto the dance floor after you've been dancing for a bit. So for instance, your mom would dance with her BF and your FFIL would dance with your FMIL.

I would dance with your brother. Its your special moment to dance with someone close to you, like a family moment. You can always have another dance with FIL and your FH can dance with your mother. Thats what we did at our wedding.
