Hi all, I'm getting married outside at the Sand Castle and I wondered, how will my guests hear us? I assumed the DJ did it...but the now that I asked this, the DJ said absolutely not and refuses to do this and said I should get the videographer to do it. which is fine for the video - but how will it be broadcast? I assumed that since I was contracting the DJ for the ceremony that this was part of it - am I wrong?
Ask someone from your hall. I'm sure they had other brides use a mic during their ceremony.
I think sometimes the officiant has one, if not maybe the hall? Good question!
I actually just emailed by BM asking that question earlier this week. I was hoping they had something there but she said it was something that either the band/DJ or videographer typically provides. I have not yet contacted either of them to confirm, but I will let you know what I find out. I think officiant is a good suggestion as well.

The officiant is a friend flying in...I haven't booked my DJ, but I asked the one I met with. I have 2 more DJ meetings w/ after hours and li sound. This was Body Rock
So funny we met with our officiant last night and he asked us this same question and I had no idea. I am going to email sand castle and ask. We booked with Genesis, I am hoping they will supply the mic and stand.
