Who thinks they are gonna get pissed AFTER the wedding...

about spending all that money on one day. I know I will have the 'what the hell was I thinking' days. It is SO much money for less than 24 hours though.

ps - this does not include the honeymoon.

No...I won't be mad at all. I set up a budget (small compared to some of the things I've seen posted here)...and I've stuck to it. I knew exactly what I was getting into. For example...I budgeted $1500 for flowers...and I kept getting quotes for $2000-$2500. My FH said that I might have to go over...because I saw more florists than I did for any other vendor...and I was like..no, I only have $1500 to spend. I found a florist to give me everything I needed for my price...and I didn't have to compromise on anything. I knew going into this how much I was going to spend on each thing...and so far, I am exactly on target.

I think my wedding will be fantastic...and I didn't have to spend 50K (which I don't have!).

It's not 'my fairy tale' but I've spent a long time saving $$ for this specific event, so I'll have no regrets.

I try not to think about it. I know it'll be a day I always remember, and a once in a lifetime event. So...I'm still not thinking about it.

I am not going to have any regrets. But I am blessed to have both our parents that are paying for everything (except Honeymoon) and we are going to have the 'dream' wedding that I (we) have always wanted!! If I was paying for the whole thing it could be depressing

We blew our budget right out of the water by spending almost double of what I originally thought it would all cost but I don't think I'm going to have one single regret. We put ALOT of time and effort into planning what we hope to be our most amazing memory ever.

Somedays I think that the money might have been better spent.... but we made a concious decision to have a wedding , and never look back!

I get very excited at the thought of standing before my friends and family and committing my life to my FH. I cannot wait for the day to come!

With both of our Dad's not well (and the fact that we are both VERY close to them), we really wanted them to see us married in church, to have a wonderful celebration with us, and just to be there to witness our happiness

I try not to live with regrets. I've also never 'dreamed' about my wedding day, so this isn't a 'fairy tale' that I'm saving for.

I am marrying the man I love...the people who are closest to us will be standing there with us - they are all just as excited as we are. All of that will make it worth it. Besides, we're not breaking the bank - saving has been a breeze.

pissed AFTER? heck, i'm pissed NOW!!!

i know things are expensive, but some things are really just out of control. i hope all the effort pays off, but i really am not the type to view my wedding as a 'fairytale' or 'the best day of my life'. what i look forward to is spending the rest of my life with my FH.

with the state of the world and economy as it is, i can't say that i am a happy person in general. i want to buy a house and start a family, unfortunately this event will push things back a bit. i knew this going into it, but sometimes i can't help but think this whole process is for naught.

planning has it's ups and downs - today is a downer...

Ours was a whole weekend affair, and rather expensive. But, we would both agree that we spent a little more to get exactly what we wanted and to have things as convenient as possible.

Don't get me wrong, we didn't 'waste' on things we didn't feel we needed, but we spent a little more on the things important to us.

And, our families are still saying it was the most beautiful wedding they'd ever experienced.

I think since we found vendors that fit our style perfectly, we got what we wanted, and we had a fantastic weekend with family and friends...it was worth it.

i didnt really regret the money i spent i hated that it was over in such a short amount of time. but im kind of glad that we only had a short engagement because if i had the time i would have spent even more money lol
