I definitely don't like the idea of spending so much money on one day. One of my FH's friends mentioned how he knew someone who spent $50,000 on their wedding day, and they're now divorced.![]()
But I make sure to keep everything at a reasonable rate. I really wanted shrimp at my cocktail hour, but it was going to cost so much more money, so I had to face the fact that, is it going to kill me if I don't have the shrimp? No. Same thought with other things. I'm trying to keep a budget of $15,000. Trying.
And I am not into the whole wedding day hoopla either. I'm looking forward to my marriage, not the wedding day so much. Thinking of the actual wedding day just stresses me out.
