My dress is a Maggie and I'll have to have someone learn how to dress me. If you had a corset also, how long did it take for your helper to tie it and did you/she run into any issues?
The dress store suggested I could hire a day of dresser to help me put on my gown but that's

I had a maggie corset gown. My sisters (my two MOHs) tied me in the morning of.....it was super easy to do. It probably took about 10 minutes.

i had a maggie corset and when we went for fittings they told my vms had to tie it and day of they did a great job..took like 10 min...
now drunk dh getting me out of it after the wedding was another story

I'll prob have the Bridal Attendant tie me up ...
it takes the alterations lady 5 minutes (tops) to do it, so prob around the same for the BA.

My DH didn't even help me get it off. I had no idea where he was! One of our groomsmen's girlfriends was nice enough to help me out and get me into my after party dress!

its not hard at all. ive done it for friends. plus your BA is used to helping.
remember they have to be tightened throughout the night.

My mom did. She was also at all of my fittings.
ETA that I did not have to have my gown relaced either. That puppy stayed nice and tight the whole night!

my sister did mine .. i had a maggie as well
i dont remember exactly how long it took, but they showed her how to do it @ the dress store when i went for a fitting and it was perfect

I tied my sister's gown -- the lady at the bridal salon told me how to do it properly and I think I may have tightened her once throughout the night. It took me about 15 minutes to do, but it's only because the photographer was taking pictures of it. The touch up would have only taken 2-3 minutes. HTH

I had my mother and a BM come to the final fitting to learn how to die my dress.
they both did it the day of. then another BM who didn't know what she was in for had to untie it all for me. The outerpart was a zipper... but inside were all the bells and whistles... there as a corset piece, snaps, hooks, you name it!
