Not to my house per say but to my aunt's apt in Queens. If she didn't live there I would have walked to FH's house. No way was I sleeping in the street.

Me too. Wasnt too bad...i think the night with no AC was so much worse.

I dont know exactly but it took about 2 hours which was pretty good considering the crowds. Almost 8 miles according to Mapquest.

Thank god I had my sneaks!

My brother-in-law walked alone. He walked 17 miles from midtown to Dyker Heights, took him 7 hours and his feet were bleeding when he got home.

I posted my story on Jennbaby's post....I am still so angry.

I'm glad you're ok T (and all the other girls who had to walk!!). How long did it take you?

Stef, did you like run home or something? I didn't have sneaks on, only sandals, which hurt like h.ell toward the end.. And plus the crowds were unbelivably slow when and where I walked home!!! Hence the 4 hour walk

I don't know how you girls did it! I'm so glad you are all ok! My FH's sister walked from the city to bay ridge, brooklyn, she hitched a couple rides (not the smartest move in the world) and it took her over 3 hours to get home.

I walked down 24 flights of stairs, over the 59th Street bridge to 36th Street and Northern Blvd all the while carrying my LAPTOP COMPUTER over one shoulder and my huge work bag over the other (also wearing high heels). My feet were so blistered and I couldn't walk another block. I stopped and sat on the curb for 2.5 hours until FH got permission to leave his firehouse to come and get me and then he dropped me at my mom's house and went back to work. My thighs still hurt too

I did. I walked from 8th Street and Broadway allthe way across the 59th Street Bridge and finally got picked up in Astoria.

I have cuts feet b/c I was wearing sandals.

I did...the walk home itself wasn't so bad for me, but the 14 flights I had to walk up in the pitch black darkness to get to my apartment were terrible!

I intended to walk to queens and get a ride from there, I ended up hitch hiking through the mid town tunnel with about 100 other people..

I walked over the 59th Street Bridge, down Queens Blvd and finally got a bus at Queens Plaza. Got home at 10pm

Alina: If i had know your #, I would have called so I could have had someone to walk with. It was very boring being all by myself.

The distance is about 8 miles. So at 15 minutes/mile...2 hours is about right. I did have my sneaks.

You should know that I DONT RUN ANYWHERE :D

Re: Who Walked HOme from NYC?

Stef, I don't think I can keep up with you... It did take me 4 hours, but of course coming from a bit further, midtown and in sandals.

I usually exercise at 4miles in hour speed LOL.

Re: Who Walked HOme from NYC?

What time did you leave? What route did you take? Maybe that had something to do with it.

I left around 6..took Broadway all the way from 23rd street to the Bklyn Bridge.
