1. How long have you lived in your current residence?
All my life - we've lived in the house for like over 30 years.

2. Have you ever lived off Long Island?
When I went to school- Upstate New York

3. Would you/Are you planning to move away?
Yes, moving to magical mystical New Jersey this year.

1. 2 years

2. Yes, Manhattan, been living here for 4 years

3. Not planning to move away. Don't think I ever would, both FH careers will always be based in NYC.

Lived there all my life...My parents bought the house 6 months before I was born

2. Have you ever lived off Long Island?
Only in the summers...We have a house in Maine...When I was little, we use to leave the last day of school in June & come back September 1st.

3. Would you/Are you planning to move away?
I would move in a heartbeat to the south (NC or SC) but FH's job is here...He said he never would leave but lately I got him thinking about it!

I do now! LOL! I lived in Boston for college and in London for 6 months while in college.

3. Would you/Are you planning to move away?

We have seriously contemplated moving back to Boston. I love it there! I would also love to move to London. It is such a great city. I have a feeling we are going to end up moving to Westchester!

I've lived in my current apartment since July.

Yup, I haven't been back to LI to live since I left for college in 98. I'm a VA gal now.

3. Would you/Are you planning to move away?
FH and I are planning on staying in VA in the DC area. (We both live here now)

2. Have you ever lived off Long Island?
Don't live there now! I have always lived in Queens or Brooklyn except when I lived in Stony Brook, LI for 4 years during college.

3. Would you/Are you planning to move away? Not sure where we are going to live when we get married, but we'll probably stay in NY.

Unfortunately No

I want to, but FH doubts my seriousness on this topic. My whole fam (and his) live here on the lovely island or just off of it. Friends of ours are trying to get us to move to Arizona.. but if I had it my way we would go closer to DC!! I love it there!

1) 2 years (Bellerose [Queens side] - LI back yard)

2) Lived in Kew Gardens Hills for 6 years. Bellerose for 2 years Syracuse for 4 years (college) Grew up in Roslyn Heights (26 years)

3) Moving back to LI in a few months I would move away if I had a better career opportunity but not now while my family needs me to be close by. Both parents are ill and it isn't a good time.

By the way, you provide a great service with your question of the day. It allows people to become more introspective.

I used to post a word of the day in another (non-wedding) forum. It makes you realize how much READING is a part of our lives. I love learning new things.

1) How long have you lived at you current residence?
Been living in Staten Island for 5 1/2 yrs now.

2) Have you ever lived off Long Island?
Never lived in Long Island. Only Brooklyn for 18 yrs and Staten Island for 5 1/2 yrs.

3) Would you/Are you planning to move away?
No, FH and I are about 98% positive that we are going to live in Staten Island.

Bought my house 4.5 years ago - FI moved in with me about 3.5 years ago.

2. Have you ever lived off Long Island?
Nope - born and raised!

3. Would you/Are you planning to move away?
Not necessarily planning, but I wouldn't be surprised if we don't live here within a few years. I love it, but it's just ridiculously expensive and crowded....I think the quality of life is better elsewhere.

Also, want to add, apology to all the 'non-long islanders' - i totally meant to say 'new york'...and since i work in queens and drive everyday, i consider it all one big island. and to the staten islander - i know that island very well and it's great.

so i meant new york.

anyone tell that i don't want to move to jersey? (hope FH isn't lurking)

1. 27 years...I'm going to miss it when I leave

2. Nope...always been in Queens (which is the only borough on 'the island'...lol

3. Well as of right now...we're looking into S. Jersey...maybe upstate NY...were ever we can find an 'affordable home' - if that term still exists

im buying a house in stamford CT and fh is moving from LI as well

I lived in li for a few months when i was little but it was just that time.
