omG ME TOO! I live at the dollar store - i know my moms been there religiously for my shower and i loooooove hitten it up for those special finds...

No, I buy the 'cans' of chips and dollar bottles of hawaiian punch. My kids bring home 1/2 the neighborhood, gotta feed them somehow.

Are you kidding? My father LIVES in the frozen food section of Dollar Tree! He retired so now he's a househusband. And mum hasn't keeled over yet so it can be all bad

Let's see . . .

Getting married and having reception at the Polish Hall. But in all honesty, the place is BEAUTIFUL! I'm making my own invitations, menus, and table numbers which is ending up costing me a little more because my printer broke so I had to buy a new one. But that's o.k. because I'll be printing my own pics.

Ahhhh. Photographer - found on Craigslist. AND I absolutely love her!

I'll be doing my own seating/escort cards (hershey bars with DIY wrappers), the centerpieces will double as the favor holders. I'm also going to do my own bok's (wholesale florist).

So far the biggest splurge (beside the hall and the caterer) has been my dress (750.00) but I am stressing over what to do for a DJ. I'm thinking of Spin Around Sounds because they look like they're exactly what we want but I don't know where I'm going to come up with that kind of $$$$

I am all about saving as much as I can, and fh makes sure I pinch my pennies. see where we live are weddings are not as expensive and extravagant as yours. actually I took alot of ideas from you gals and will be using them, like my candy buffet, that is something never heard of here. so actually my wedding will be so remembered, but yet I was able to do it cheap. but I have to admit I wish I lived in N.Y the reception places are breath taking.

i guilty.. i am a penny pincher.. with about 600 guests, i have to nickel and dime people.. and it's getting bad b/c now my parents are calling me stingy and frugal

anyway.. i was kinda shipped out to sea last december when my old boss left.. so i had an office all to myself so made phone calls and haggled vendors to a pulp..

i went easy on the flowers.. i am doing favor per family.. something nice, so they can't complain.. so i only ended up spending 1/3 of what i had planned..

i have to do programs, so i asked someone to help me out for a fraction of the cost..

and best of all.. i am putting my foot down (my parents too sometimes) when people call to find out if they can bring more people..

obviously with so many people, costs will be high, but i am slicing and dicing my lovlies..
