We waited until the next day to tell everyone. He called his parents, and then I called mine. My father's reaction? 'It's about time!' My brother's reaction? (he got the call next) 'Well it better not be around September, because SIL's best friend's wedding is then and we're in the wedding'. (Needless to say they broke off their engagement, so I actually could have planned an October wedding like I wanted!)

I called my parents. And they're like ' You're engaged! To who? Hahaha' They were surprised, but my FH and I had been dating for over 5 years, so they couldn't have been that surprised.

My FI asked my parents for my hand so they knew. I called my best friend in TX.

my parents. my Dad was the first to know because even though my FH already proposed, he wanted to ask my Dad's permission.

I called my parents house and my sister picked up... and then I spoke with mom & dad. I didn't even have to say anything, they all knew it was happening, so they were all up waiting for me to call!

He did it right before we left for dinner w/the family so we just went right over. I called my best friend first thing in the morning.

My mom, who I thought was at a meeting, then he called his mom, who happened to be sitting right next to my mom (he had arranged for both of our families to be at his mom's house). The next person was my MOH, who apparently also knew......in fact I think I was the only one who didn't know!!! But nobody had seen the ring yet, so I got to show that off!

Our Parents....even though they knew....we had to call them and tell them at THAT moment...then our grandmas..then all of our friends!!!

My brother and sister n law-I had a feeling and was joking around about it with my sis n law right before we went out...
