Ok ladies - here's the deal, how many of you had your FH with you to register? My guy absolutely DISPISES shopping. its like pulling teeth to get him to shop even for clothes for himself.....soo, i'm having a mini battle with him now to get him to go. I've tried the 'they have a cool scanner for you to play with' ' what about beer mugs etc...' nothings working - so i'm wondering...did you have your FH with you? is it common that guys don't want to go? I feel like the gifts are for BOTH of us so he should be there...but he just says 'honey you are so good with this stuff you should do it'
what do you think?

I posted other because it was Me, DH and my MOH that went with me. At times I wish I had left DH at home because we coudl not agree on things and it was driving me NUTS!!!

I went with Fh, but he is so involved in all the wedding stuff..it's kinda funny. He loved registering and picking expensive stuff 'we're not paying for it, and I want nice things!'. Why don't you ask him to come and keep it short the first time..only register for a few things and if he really hates it, you can go back next time with a sister or friend or mom.

I was thrilled my FH didn't want t o go, he would have drove me bonkers!
I was thrilled to go with a friend of mine. I asked him if there was anything specific he wanted but none of the stores we registered at had golf clubs

well, I haven't registered yet - waiting for after the holidays- but I don't think it's a big deal if he doesn't want to go. If he's really not that into it, you might have more fun going with someone else anyway! I know my FH is going to come but I know we can only do a little at a time. He can't handle a whole day shopping!!

I totally agree...esp if someone doesn't want to do something.. they are not going to enjoy it and make it a miserable experience.... fh told me he would come if I 'really' wanted him to but instead I went with a friend and had a great time picking everything out

i went with my mom first...at first i did NOT want too - but i gave it the benefit of the doubt and let me tell ya - THANK GOD i did!!! I was so overwelmed once i realized everything we really needed...and she showed me things i would've NEVER thought to register for! So i went with her first and just wrote things down....and then went BACK with DH(fh at the time)...i was glad i did...i think we would've just registered for random stuff like a lot of my friends have and not really known what were nessecaties. it worked out good

I made FH go with me the 1st time and then went back without him which was so much better as much as I wanted him to help it was so much easier without him, honestly he really didn't care what I put on there as much as I wanted him to he just didnt!!!

I actually did all by myself online. I had the whole thing done at all 3 places online and only just went last week to one of the stores in person because I wanted to feel the bedding and towels. FH didn't care and I didn't need to him care. He really didn't need to be there, I think we all have this 'idea' in our heads that all of our FHs will want to take part in this activity but that's not usually the case and they really don't need to be a part of it. Honestly, it's household items. Pick what you want, he'll be fine. Have fun!!!!

fh & i went together and bickered for a half hour. now that the e-party has passed and we have some of our gifts he says 'i really like all of our stuff.'
i did A LOT online w/ bbb.

I went with my mom. FH has no desire to be there (but then again, he isn't involved in planning the wedding at all, really). It was actually kinda funny b/c as we were opening our e-party gifts, he was like, 'Oh this is our coffee maker, you chose a good one, hun!' Or, 'These are our everyday plates? Very nice!' He seemed to approve of everything I chose so I'm happy :)

I dragged Dh to Fortunoffs to register...he was a PITA too with going...but we ran thru stuff quickly...i then decided to go by myself for BB&B! Nothing wrong with going alone...i actually liked it because i could take my time without someone complaining!

We never went to the store. We registered completely online. I put some things on, and he added some things too that he wanted.

I brought FH with me for the big items, like the china and crystal, everyday dishes and glasses, bedding. Sulked like a kid the whole time. Finished up the rest on my own.

I am mostly doing it myself. FH has only been interested in the deep fryer, griddle machine, vacuum and a few other random things. I don't mind, it means I get my way on almost everything!!!
Then FH asked if I could see if Home Depot has a registry the groom

We had sooo much fun both times!!! DH was a riot, he scanned anything and everyhting he could including boxes of whoppers. Going down the escalator at Fortunoff, he scanned their decorations on the ledges- my cousin actually bought me the peligan he scanned as a joke

i first went with FH and then my mom and I went to the store that FH is a manager at when he was working so technically he was there then too.
