Who watched your dog the day of your wedding?

Original post by MikeandJess

I know this has been asked but I thought I can get some new responses. I really really don't want to kennel her for the day. What did you girls do?

We hired this lady that does dog walking services

We needed her to come to the house, let him out and bring him to the RH, get him dressed in his outfit, and wait for him to walk down the aisle.
Then she drove him home and got him settled in.

She charged us $100 which i thought was a good deal. I am sure it would be less, she lives in port washington.

I am leaving my dog home. but the thing is he is fine it's my parents dog who wont be fine. He is still a puppy and well has accidents and has to be watched. My dog is fine staying in the kitchen and tv room as long as there is water and some dry food for him. But my mom doesn't want her dog in the crate all day

So i think my neighbors son (who is 18) is going to watch them-we didn't invite him to the wedding. He will come over after his parents leave for our wedding and feed them and then let them out and play with them for a little and then hopefully once more later in the night since he is right next door it wont be bad if he goes at like 11pm or something to let them out. And we will pay him for that.

I just feel so bad because my mom's dog can't stay in the kitchen without being in his crate or on the leash attached to soemthing because we have no doors to the kitchen and he can jump right over the gate we have to block them in there when we have people over

i had a very difficult time with this....we originally had it all set up that he would be at a kennel that came recommended to us....had all the arrangements, etc, and then found out that we could not leave him there b/c he had not been given his rabies vaccine yet b/c he is a pup and was still getting all the necessary vaccines....i was sick to my stomach when i heard this b/c we were basically screwed....but my sisters very good friend offered to watch him and he spent the night with her....she was a god send....do you have anybidy like that, like a siblings friend you would trust who is not invited to the wedding?

I can always drop her off to you in the morning. If last resort and you still can't find anyone I'll do it and drop her off on my way to work. I work in flushing so it's not that far.

My mom knows this lady that will watch a few small dogs at a time. She is wonderful!! She breeds champion yorkies and does grooming. Molly and Izzy are going there for the night. She is so good with them and will let them sleep with her kids etc if they are used to that!

If you want her number I can give it to you! but shes out here in suffolk. Shes the only one that isnt family that I like izzy go to !!

Your puppy can play with our doggies!!

Mine was with me all day! I got ready at my house which made it a lot easier for me! Then he was in our wedding party.

We had a friend drive him home for us and then we decided to go home on the night of the wedding since we already had our own place.
