I used the bathroom only ONCE the whole wedding day.
It was in the Bridal Suite right before we were introduced to the reception,

And my NEW HUBBY is the one who helped me, LOL

my Mom and my MOH - although she will be 8mos preggo at the time - not sure how much help she will be!!

Ok, this is weir5d because I was just thinking about this this morning (strange as that sounds!) becuase I have a big ol' dress. I think my best friend & MOH will help me - hopefully!

didnt use the bathroom once during our wedding...but as soon as we got to the hotel....I ran to the bathroom!!

One of the reasons I didnt get a big poofy dress was so that I could just step out of it if I needed to go to the bathroom. I am very shy when it comes to that and I remember I had to help my sister so I knew what to look for.

My dress is not poofy so I am good, bt as a former Bridal Attendant (among other things) I can tell you most people cannot hold all of the layers of crinoline & petticoats. Great Question!

try to pick someone you know:
a- won't freak about watching you pee.
b- won't get so wasted they will create more of a problem.
c- is fashion-conscous enough to know that rolling it up into a ball to try & fit it all over your head might ruin the dress.....

Mine isn't too poofy.. but I also dont want anyone in the bathroom with me.

Thankfully there's a separate bathroom for handicap that isn't a stall. It's standalone separate room. I think Im going to offically make that the brides bathroom and prehaps get undressed and redressed on my own.

I have personal reason why I am hoping that i NEVER have to use the restroom but im sure I'll have to wee.



That whole bathroom thing is actually a growing nightmare of mine.

Any woman with IBS will understand.

I've been stressing over this too...weird...of all the things I could stress about, this is the funniest!



I found this on another site about going to the bathroom by yourself in a wedding gown. I guess I'll have to start practicing!
-Go into bridal suite and close the door(since you won't be closing the powder room door) before entering the powder room...

-Hike up the dress and drop trow...

-Shuffle over to the bowl with dress hiked up and sit facing backwards (that way holding up the front of the dress is a lot easier than holding up the back of the dress) ...

-Do what needs to be done and exit powder room shuffling backwards so as not to inadvertantly drop dress in toilet.
Replace undies, smooth out dress and VOILA!

None of the above. I got my daughter to help me! Otherwise I would have had MOH or her daughter.

my sister helped me, i only went once that day. i found it easier to face the wrong way though, i.e. front towards the flushing mechanism. and yeah my sis couldn't see anything b/c she had so much dress to hold up!
