Do I ask my reception hall to do this or the florist? I love the idea of a flower on each plate on top of the menu or in a napkin. Anyone do this or know who I would talk to? Thanks!
I would think the florist. Since they would be decorating the RH they might as well add that as well. Only thing is they may have to wait until your room is set up with linens china etc.
hmm i actually think you would need to talk to the RH about this. You dont know what time the florist does their delivery so the room may not be fully set up. Its something your reception hall can definitely do. I didnt do one flower per place setting, but i had custom rose petals that I wanted on specific places and the RH took care of it...not the florist.
Yes, I'm pretty positive it would be your RH, that you'd talk to about this. Our RH actually mentioned this exact same set-up to us 'a flower on each napkin'--they said they'd do that for us! :)
We are doing this. It is the florist who orders and places the flower in the napkin or setting and the RH needs a heads up. It is pricey but really lovely.

I have seen people put an edible flower on everyone's plate. I dont know how people would know it is edible though
i would suggest you goto your garden on this one. you will save a butt-load of $$ and it will look just as beautiful!!
I did that last time (second wedding) and the florist did it for us. I think it was something like $1 a plate, depending on what type of flower you wanted!! HTH!
