I would want them spread out unless you have a lot of OOTers. It would be much more convenient for them to make one trip instead of two.

Yeah, have to agree with nferrandi. Of my 7 (yes 7, don't ask) bridesmaids, 5 will becoming from out-of-state. I would much rather have these very important people around for both events then spread them out and be missing my favorite people!
If everyone is in town, though, I have no idea why you might not spread that out....

Definitely spread out! My shower is going to be about 2months before my wedding and my bach party will probably be no more than 3 weeks before the wedding.
