I'm pregnant! I was only off for a week. I had AF the week after we got back from our honeymoon. We were so busy, I didn't refill until tues the week I was supposed to take them again. So I figured I'd just start the following Sunday and made sure we didn't *you know* until I was back on. Little did that help bc we concieved that first week I was back on.

When i found out I was like bc DH and I were not TTC. In fact we planned on waiting 2yrs until he graduated law school. When I told DH, he was like he just couldn't deal and didn't want to talk about it.

But he's come around now and I'm excited. I'm 7.5 weeks and due in May. I have my first Dr. appt on Tues.

congrats and I'm sorry that you were so surprised....I think it's a matter of the hormones leaving your system and balancing out more than the NOT being able to get pregnant

The pill 'leaves' your system within 24 hours and that is why the effective rate drops with every hour you are late taking it. The reason it's recommended to go off the pill for a couple of cycles is to regulate your period enough for the Dr's to get a better EDD.

Congrats and hope you have a healthy 9 months!!

Congrats. I was told the same thing. I am TTC and i was told don't get your hopes up until s 3-6 months after you are off BC. I am so happy for you. Everything happens for a reason. Good luck.
