The district is a small stretch from the streets of 26th to 29th along and off Sixth Avenue.
Just make sure you go early! Becuae they close pretty early!

yes, go to the wholesale district which is a whole stretch between 6-9 aves and between 28-39 streets in manhattan. Take the R train to 28th street or the 1 train to 28 the street and start walking up and down those streets. They have amazing flowers!!! and the jewelry/handbag/hair product wholesale is there too so while you are looking for flowers you may find other stuff! So dangerous, i used to work over there!

I think Costco also has wholesale flowers too. I think they get it shipped directly from California or where ever the flowers are grown.
My question is, who is going to do the arrangements if you supply the flowers, will some floral designers do it for you for a smaller fee than having them do the whole thing? Also you need to buy vases/ stands and all other needed materials. Does it end up being cheaper than having a florist do it??

If you dont mind setting it up or giving it to someone to set up this is another really cheap alternative
seriously my sister just got married and we used Costco believe or not and the flowers are still looking great and the one lady who my sister worked w/ was great if you any more question FM

no they wont set it up for you. Some of the flowershops in the wholesale district can make bok's for you and make the cp's but of course youre going to pay extra for all this, and if you want them to deliver it they can do it but youre paying for that.
They also have vases in the wholesale district for great prices.
It does end up being cheaper regardless. I did it for my e-party, and i also bought the vases. But for the wedding i didnt want to deal with this. For e-party it was different but when you buy flowers from a wholesale place, you also need to remember that you have to take care of them. When they order it for you and you receive it, the flowers are usually closed, the ones i got were and i had to take care of them very well for a few days in order for them to bloom. if i wouldnt have followed their directions carefully then they wouldn't have bloomed. IT was a bit of a PITA i will say. Then to also transport them and get it to the place was a pain.

Espo is on the money We had to pick them up the day before and yes you do have make sure you take of them. The wedding was Saturday night and the I took cp home and they are still looking great

26 street to 29th street between 6th and 7th avenue
they have some nice stuff, they even have sone nice fake florals for around the house, if you have those in your house, really nice.

i dont know but if you want another option ... you could order wholesale flowers from cosco .. my friend did this. they have the info on their website. also, they deliever them to your house so you dont have to worry about driving to pick them up. check it out.

BTW, Fiftyflowers is located in Queens- the number is a 718 number. They call to confirm the order once you order the flowers online.
