They can bring back the ghost of Babe Ruth and thats not going to help them dig themselves out of the hole they are currently in financially.
Oh wait... Ruth now plays for the Sox again.
Plus the deal isn't done yet. Selig just approved it. The deal is still pending on Johnson getting his contract extention. He wants 2yrs at 16mil a year! He is over 40! I don't care what kind of a year he had last year... he isn't worth that much.
Clemens signed with Houston for only 6 MIL!!!!!!
Now I wonder if that gets tagged on top of his remainind year (so he is signed for three more years at 16mil - through 2007)... or does it just void his current contract so he is only signed two more years (through 2006).
