I just got the BEST news I've heard in a million years!! I'm getting a breast reduction!!!!!

I've been fighting with my insurance company for about a year now and they finally approved it today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWW!!!!!!

I never did because my school caught it too late...By the time I saw a dr., my only option was surgery. My spine curves to the right at a 37 degree angle-anything over 40 degrees, they operate. It's a pain in the neck-literally!
I have faith Sassy that you'll get this covered too!!!

Mine was only like 20 degrees or something like that. My sister's was exactly 37 also, what a coincidence. We both wore a brace, we detected both early b/c it runs in my dad's family.
My other sister and brother both only have a 5 degree, so they got off lucky.
They say 25% of your children may develop scoliosis, but 100% of my parents children did. Only 2 of use had to treat it though.
So strange

She said what will help me is that I'm small - only 5'4 - and have the scoliosis with a small frame. So we'll see - I'm crossing my fingers.

Congratulations. Thats awesome. I always wanted to get mine reduced too. I know how difficult it is the insurance companies. What I would give to buy a bra in Victoria Secrets!

LeeLee - Congratulations! I just heard back from Oxford that I have NO out-of-netowrk benefits, so the surgeon I saw and loved I cannot use (assuming the surgey gets approved).

I saw a back doctor (sports medicine person) and he receommened the surgery too.

Can you FM your docs info, including the hospital?

I am really psyched for you, I know you have worked hard for this. You are going to feel so much better!
